• Shoes with a 5 cm heel comprised of two different sections. The front bit is similar to a slipper, while the back arches around the heel areas. They are brought together with soft macramé string which run across from back to forth creating a rope life feel to them. The leather sections as well as the 5 cm heel are painted with French shellac inks in an abstract color way pattern

Sometimes the materials inspire the design, in this case it was the vibrant French ink shellac paints. The process to color the shoes is less science and more free flow - the leather is wet, the paint is splash on and using a spray bottle more water is applied. That is why no pair made in this style will ever be the same. The water droplets and inks will decide if a pair is more turmeric or more cayenne.
