Handcrafted. Comfy. Never basic.
I'd bet you that when you think of comfortable shoe you say to yourself "snooze, boring!". You also know the feeling of coming home after a long day of wearing heels. You pop them out and your feet are the size of pumpkins, sweet relief from all the pain. The constant debate - "should I take my comfy pair or my fun pair?".
Guess what? You don't have to bleed in your high heels. Comfort doesn't have to mean boring. Yes, you can have both. I'm on a mission to make fun high heels that you can walk in for miles!
My love affair with shoes started at a young age. My very first word was boot. The only time I ever cried my eyes off in a store over something I wanted? Yep, you got it. Shoes. I was 6 and saw a gorgeous pair of red lacquer sandals. Can you really blame me?
Then came the next time I cried over shoes. I was 10. An aunt gifted me a pair of flats. They were brown, with a big ugly green puke-ish ribbon. I HATED them but was told “you have to wear them, we are visiting your aunt”. I cried crocodile tears. I threw a tantrum. I refused to talk to anybody. I shouted I didn’t want to leave the house. I might have declared to the universe the shoes deserved to die. Drama.
Years and years later, variations of the same ugly shoes came back to haunt me: in every store, in every shopping mall, in every high-street. Boring designs everyone wears, that make you want to cry over the wasted leather, produced in mass in shady conditions in some unknown factory. I've had enough of it, thank you very much.
I am set on a journey to bring back the happiness of wearing shoes, all hand made, from my home in a small flat in London. Staying true to what I want to wear myself, designs full of joy, a little piece of something different, that you can actually walk in without your feet wanting to faint.
All shoes are custom made to order, with an average waiting time of 1 to 2 months. No more than 5 pairs of the same design will ever be made. No exceptions. Ever. You will be wearing an unique piece, not a uniform.
